Operation Multiplication's First Meeting

The group for Operation Multiplication (OM) met this past Sunday evening. I'm excited about the enthusiasm and interest on the part of those who attended the first meeting. Please note, even if you were unavailable to be present for the first meeting, you can jump in at any time and participate in subsequent meetings. We discussed the importance of helping new members and new believers assimilate (connect) with others in the church. What are some ways in which we can do this? We talked about the importance of keeping watch on the "back door" of the church as well as the "front door". We want to make sure that people are effectively connected in ministry and service within Memorial, too. Our first assignment as a group was to review some current and available materials specific to helping people connect in the church. Additionally, everyone will be reading the book Sticky Church by Larry Osborne as a way of facilitating discussion about connecting.

I was just reflecting on the way that you have made the ministry of welcoming new believers (OM). I like the way you encourage and call others to join using this web site. I was just looking at how you are using you web site tools and how it looks. God bless your work in growing the family of God.
