Christian Women's Job Corps

In just a moment’s time, a woman may find her life has changed through a Loss of Job, Loss of Spouse, Addictions, Disability, Illness...

All of these changes are overwhelming. For some these are not changes, but a way of life handed down through generations.

The feeling of hopelessness sets in, and there seems to be no way to change. Escape from hopelessness can be difficult—but not impossible. She needs en-couragement, direction, and support. She needs to provide for her and her family through her self-sufficiency. Most importantly she needs to experi-ence God’s love, grace and forgiveness.

CWJC works to give women in need hope for a future where their dreams can become true and their family can live self-sufficiently and not rely on resources from the government and other agencies. By accomplishing self-sufficiency, they are breaking the cycle of poverty.

CWJC will minister to women in need with a hand up, not a handout. CWJC provides a variety of life skills, job skills training, Bible study and a Christian woman to be her mentor.

Our Mission

The purpose of Christian Women’s Job Corps®, a ministry of WMU, is to provide a Christian context in which women in need are equipped for life and employment; and a missions context in which women help women.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Trinity, God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Bible as the Word of God. Salvation comes through grace by believing in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, our Savior and Lord. Once saved, the Holy Spirit indwells, thereby instructing, guiding, and em-powering the individual to follow the mandate of Jesus Christ in daily living. Christian Women’s Job Corps, a ministry of WMU, is a response to this mandate.
